    Sixty thousand years ago, a woman picked up coal and clay and imprinted the outline of her palm on the cave arch. They say that this way people began to draw and give the created images a mystical meaning.
Today, not a single historian will give an answer on who and when for the first time
began to make felt from sheep’s wool. There are too many versions to the answer. In the third millennium BC, the Sumerians in Mesopotamia already used objects made from felted wool.
    There is a legend that after noticing a layer of dense mass pressed by the hooves of sheep in the ark, Noah came up with this method to ram the wool into a plastic mass. One way or another, throughout the history of all cultures and civilizations, a man was accompanied by secrets invented by himself. Due to science and new technologies little by little the secrets are revealed to our comprehension, but the mysticism of art remains.
    This exhibition - is the secret of two young women. Two artists who know and
understand what they are doing and why, but they hold off on explaining it to us - the
audience. Kamilya and Aziza hid their riddles in their creations, and we must come up with our own answers.

    In her paintings, the artist Aziza Sarambetova puts her innermost desires, and at the same time tests the observer’s reaction to her works for the validity and adequacy. Similar to the Swiss psychiatrist Hermann Rorschach, she bifurcates objects and invites us come up with our own abstract plot development of her graphic works. Will we see the symmetrical and proper composition that according to Dr. Rorschach a person with a healthy mind should be
able to see? Or will we fill the space with our fantasies in meditative contemplation, as Aziza does? That depends on us.

The works of Kamilya Suleimenova’s are not just garments - they are the works of art. The sculptural form, the picturesqueness and the graphic nature of color choices - this is precisely the mystical secret that a woman puts into everything she touches. The delicate textures of silk openwork intertwined with felt, fill out the shape and take on a different meaning. Contrasting or monochrome, airy or monumental, geometric or soft in shape, you
want to touch Kamilya’s work and feel the energy of her soul and the ancient art of creating weightless fibers of felt forms, perfectly mastered by our ancestors.
